How to Strengthen Wi-Fi Signal With Easy Steps ?

Wireless Router no longer be new, and perhaps most Internet users already have these tools at home to share the internet connection wirelessly (wireless).
This time, we will try to discuss problems / constraints that may be frequently encountered by users of the wireless router signal strength in wireless router.

How to make Wi-Fi signal could reach an optimal or a wider area? Here are a few things to note:

1. Place the Wireless Router in the middle of the room

Considering most of the wireless router using Omni Directional antenna type (spread to all directions), wireless router should be placed in the middle of the room so that it can reach every corner of the room.

2. Note the placement of wireless routers

Do not place the wireless router on the floor, adjacent to the wall or adjacent to objects that contain iron (metal) because all these things will reduce the signal strength is there. The closer you put the three things above, will be the weaker the signal.

3. Replace existing antennas on the Wireless Router

As we said in point no. 1 that as a router using Omni Directional antenna types that are spread to all directions. If indeed you often use in the entire room or corner of the antenna of this type is perfect but if you're more likely to use it in one place, perhaps the replacement of the antenna can further amplify the signal.
One example of this type of antenna for the above problem is a High Gain Antenna where the nature of its spread to only one point so that the signal that you will get better but we suggest you can not often change places.

4. Replace Wireless network adapter with a better

If you use a computer (not laptop), you must install the Wireless Network Adapter in it. Ensure that the Network Adapter you are using is good enough and can also replace existing antennas with better quality like High Gain Antenna above.

5. Add a Wireless Repeater if necessary

Although the antenna has been replaced with something better does not mean you can reach more distant locations. For that sometimes we need an additional tool called the Wireless Repeater.
Wireless Repeater serves to reinforce and extend the existing WiFi signal so that the range becomes wider, eg with a regular antenna, signal coverage only reaches 100 m but with this, 2x the signal range can be longer that 200m or more.

But indeed for the addition of a tool like this, we have to spend quite a lot of money.

6. Changing the Wireless Channel that there

WiFi signals can be run on multiple channels at once, if you feel that there is less good signal and found a lot of channels in it, you should change to channel a little more.

And no need to worry with this channel because replacement computer / notebook will automatically detect and adjust if there is change channels.

7. Keep Wireless Router from certain electronic devices

Wifi Signal works at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, for it should you keep your wireless router from an electronic device that uses the same frequency.
For example telephone cordeless (without cable) which usually also uses the same frequency of 2.4 GHz. If this happens, inevitably you have to replace it with a cordless phone that uses different frequencies like 900 MHz cordless phone or replace a regular telephone, this solution is cheaper.

8. Always update your firmware for the Wireless Router

Usually each manufacturer is very well known as D-Link, Linksys and others are always issued the latest firmware for your router to router performance to be better. Do these firmware upgrades are usually provided on their website.

9. Use the same brand for your wireless network

Although the outline, use a different brand for the network devices (routers, adapters) do not experience problems but usually the signal would be better if we use one brand.

For example your router brand Linksys, Wireless Adapter should be used in the computer also uses the same brand.

10. Upgrading the type of WiFi 802.11b to 802.11g

We're sure most owners Wifi network is already using the format type G but if you are still using 802.11b type then you should replace or at least make all the WiFi networks using the same format.

It was there that 802.11n promises faster transfer speeds and farther range, but it should be noted that the format of the N is still not certified.
